Paints and pen: August 2024

August was a busy month. A trip to East coast in the USA, in the Washington area to attend a family wedding, a trip to Mont Tremblant with my family to enjoy the Labor day weekend, and of course working on illustration assignments in between..

Work kept me busy in August….

I spend the month working on my picture book sketches for SAMINA GOES TO A WEDDING with Owl Kids Books coming out in Spring 2026, final sketches approved now busy working on the final art, the due date is the beginning of December! Look forward to sharing about my process soon.

Magazine cover illustration

I was honoured to have the opportunity to illustrated the magazine cover for WRITE Magazine for The Writers Union of Canada for the summer 2024 edition.

Garden icons for Wall art

I painted a collection of gardening tools using watercolours for wall decor and art licensing. Looking forward to seeing them on a variety of products soon. I worked in watercolours , Kuratake paints to be precise. The pigmnent quality is fantastic, so rich.

Map icons

I was inspired to create some icons of India. Hoping to make a more detailed map of it soon!

Well, that's it for now.
