Spring has sprung!
Greeting Card illustration for Trader Joe’s. Medium: Gouache and watercolour
As the season slowly shifts, it feels like there is optimism in the air. Even though the temperatures still cling to the cold, there's an undeniable sense of renewal. The longer days and the sounds of the Cardinals singing in the mornings outside my window brings a sense of a new beginning.
The Daily Sketchbook: Commitment Through Chaos
Keeping up with a daily sketchbook practice is no small feat. Life pulls in every direction, making it tough to carve out time for creativity. But the magic of a sketchbook lies in its flexibility—just a few minutes with watercolours, a quick collage, or some layered coloured pencils can keep the habit alive.
Some days, inspiration flows; others, it's a struggle to put anything down. But showing up, even with a single brushstroke or a scribbled note, matters. It’s a quiet rebellion against the rush of life—a space where creativity, however small, still gets to breathe.

With Ramadan in full swing, the days are packed with fasting, prayers, and preparation for nightly feasts. Meeting work deadlines was in full swing as I tried to keep up with on the traditions of Ramadan. On occasion I made myself slow down to enjoy the essence of this holiday, self reflection ,gratitude, compassion and generosity.
