A new year and new opportunities!

Hello friends! I hope 2024 has started on the right foot for you. Did you keep any resolutions? If so how is it going? My resolution is to journal everyday and be the best version of myself, not easy but I am trying. I started meditating a few years ago and I’m proud to say that I still do it everyday, and now it’s become a habit. Not giving up and believing in yourself is the secret to the process! :)

The Storystorm Challenge by Tara Lazar

I love a good challenge as you can see so this was my second year of Tara Lazar’s story challenge. The Storystorm challenge is to create 30 story ideas in 31 days. You don’t have to write a manuscript (but you can if the mood strikes). You don’t need potential best-seller ideas. On this blog, daily posts by authors, illustrators, editors and other publishing professionals will help inspire you.  And now I have 30 plus ideas ideas to spark new stories. A great way to start the year for me!

I debuted my next picture book Meena Can’t Wait at CBC Kids Studio on January 19th. It’s coming out on March 13th 2024 however available for pre-order on Amazon. CBC kids contacted my publisher- Orca Books about having me read it to Gary the Unicorn and to the young audience all over the country (Pretty exciting!) It will be on air in the next couple of weeks and available on YouTube. Needless to say I had a ball doing it! Here are some pictures,
