I often feel like I was born with a paintbrush in my hand. Painting is my favorite form of expression. I explore my feelings through the vibrancy of colour and the playful yet elegant weight of my lines.
Adding texture to my work through the use of multiple mediums is very important to me. It definitely adds depth to my journey as an artist. I use collage treatments in many of my pieces to tell a story – often my own story as a global traveler, as someone whose roots are far away in a distant land, as someone who has melded the strands of my faraway past and close-at-home present.
My hope is to bring joy to those of you who rest your eyes on my work, perhaps even to bring on a smile.
I enjoy working with colour and form, and I am trying to move away from figurative work (which I used to practice, as a commercial artist), into the abstract.
My medium of choice for fine Art is mainly acrylic, watercolor and collage for some still life paintings.
I have sold limited edition prints at the American Craft Museum. Graced the wall of many clients as well as held art exhibits at various galleries and venues in New York and Toronto.
I do commissioned work and sell limited edition prints in my online shop.
